Goal | We want to provide welcoming and comfortable seating for our students, especially for our kindergarten, first-grade, and second-graders. We will do this by replacing our big chairs with size-appropriate stools. |
Description | Most of our students have difficulty sitting in our art classroom chairs. Younger students have to sit on the edge of the chairs as their feet cannot reach the floor. They also have trouble getting in and out of the chairs. Many chairs are in a state of disrepair and have cracks. With the support of our caring community members, we can make an impact. |
Benefits | This project will impact all our students at White City Elementary. Our students will receive new stools that will improve their ease of movement in our art class and comfort while learning. These stools will create a more welcoming environment that encourages students to focus on learning rather than their discomfort. |
